At the invitation of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, HE Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Their Majesties the King and the Queen will pay a State Visit to Germany from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 December 2023.
They will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Federal Cultural Institutions, Hadja Lahbib, the Minister-President of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, Rudi Vervoort, the Minister-President of the Government of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Pierre-Yves Jeholet, the Minister-President of the Government of the German-speaking Community, Oliver Paasch, Vice-Minister-President of the Government of Flanders, Flemish Minister for Welfare, Public Health and Family, Hilde Crevits, and Vice-President and Minister of Climate, Energy, Infrastructure and Mobility of the Walloon Government, Philippe Henry.
The State Visit will take place in Berlin and Dresden, Saxony. It offers an opportunity to deepen bilateral relations around the themes of green energy transition, European strategic autonomy, new technologies and microelectronics, regional development, space, social integration and cultural cooperation.
