On 27 April 2026, the Belgian Foreign Trade Agency organised a briefing in Brussels to inform the participants of the BEM Türkiye about the objectives and the activities of the mission. The briefing was kindly hosted by BNP Paribas Fortis.
Mr Stéphane Vermeire, Head of Corporate Banking and Member of the Executive Board at BNP Paribas Fortis, welcomed the attendees and Mrs Katrien Van Loocke, Legal Counsel at the Belgian Foreign Trade Agency (BFTA), outlined the program of the Mission. Mrs Birgit Stevens, Director General for Bilateral Affairs at the FPS Foreign Affairs, Mrs Isabelle Grippa, CEO of hub.brussels, Mr Piet Demunter, CEO of Flanders Investment & Trade and Mr Michel Kempeneers, COO International Affairs at the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) presented their respective activities. Finally, His Excellency Mr Barış Tantekin, Ambassador of Türkiye in Belgium, addressed the audience.
